Movie Review : Ardass is a movie about about social issues.This is debut movie of Gippy Grewal as director.The story is about a man Gurmukh Singh (Gurpreet Ghuggi) who is a teacher. Gurmukh lost her wife and unborn baby because of her mother’s wish. Then he decided to spread Gurbani and truth among the much needed people. He is been transferred to a village where he saw the the sorrows and unhappy families. He helped those people by giving them a strength from Gurbani.
Star Performances : Movie revolves around Gurpreet Guggi’s Character Gurmukh Singh. He is at his best till date. But in emotional scenes his over reacting will keep you stunned.When his wife (Mehar Vij) dies in hospital Gurpreet emotional reaction were so weird, he is a fine actor no need to react in that way like audience laughs on your reaction like you are weeping so artificially. Mehar Vij in role of his life has done extremely good job.Sardar Sohi steals the show with his acting & dialogue delivery.delivery. Rana Ranbir in role of postman is decent his emotional connection with school going girl is praise-able.In short roles Ammy Virk-Isha Rikhi will impress you.Mandy Takhar has chosen a serious role but she will surely impress you with her performance.Karamjeet Anmol,Harinder Bhullar and others played their part so wonderfull. Zora Randhawa, The bad guy in movie will fetch you attention towards him. In the end, good news ffor gippy grewal’s fan you will see him in a cameo at the climax.
Direction, ScreenPlay & Dialogues : Gippy Grewal’s direction is commendable as Baljit singh deo is the cinematographer of this movie his bonding with gippy is well known. Dialogues by Rana Ranbir will touch your heart.
Music : Music of the movie is good specially tracks by Nachattar Gill & Ammy Virk are top on charts.Background score of the movie could be better.
Final Words : ” Ardaas ” has some brilliant performances, Dialogues & songs.Over all. it`s good one time watch.
