This Thursday the Punjabi box office would be ready to give a new definition to the industry with the release of one of the most anticipated Punjabi films of the year ‘Shareek’. The day also marks the holy festival of Dushehra which is all about the victory of good over the bad. The film also showcases the story of a family which gets divided over the issue of land and their envy deepens every single day. The promotion for the film is on and the team visited the city today to catch up with the local media and the fans.
The film is a presentation of Ohri Productions Pvt. Ltd. and Gilco & Green Planet Production. It stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill, Guggu Gill, Mukul Dev, Kuljinder Singh Sidhu, Prince KJ Singh, Gulchoo Jolly and Hobby Dhaliwal. Newcomers Simar Gill and Oshin Sai are debuting in acting with this flick.
Navaniat Singh has directed the film and the producers are Vivek Ohri, R.S. Gill, P.P Saini and K.S. Saini. Karan Parmar has co-produced the film. The story has been written by Dheeraj Rattan. The film is being distributed pan India by Skyshow Biz.On this occasion director Navaniat Singh said, “The script is the USP of this film and it touches the Punjabi ground each moment. The events are close to reality and the audiences will certainly feel Producers of the film said that the festive season is about to start and from the business point of view this is the best time to release our film. On the creative front, the film has been extensively and exclusively made and will leave a mark in the history of Punjabi cinema.
Jimmy Sheirgill and Guggu Gill have teamed up to be the good people and Mukul Dev and Kuljinder Sidhu stand on the other side. Jimmy said, “It is a family drama with the influence of social factors.
Making such a film is a big challenge but the whole team has so beautifully worked on it.” Mukul Dev who has been going to places for the promotion said, “People are eagerly waiting for the film. We visited colleges, malls, radio stations, news channels, the hype is big. The canvas of the film is grand and so is the wait by the audiences.”
Guggu Gill and Kuljinder Sidhu said, “The film is worth the wait. It is a masterpiece which is beautifully written and directed. It was not really easy to act in such a film but our crew made it so easy for us. The hospitality at the locations was very favorable.”
The music of the film released a few days back on Eros Music is doing pretty well in the market. Right from the first trailer of the film, it is making news all over. Critics also have high hopes from this flick and the D-day is not far.
