Punjabi film industry is ready with a film that will talk about Indo-Pak relations in a very different light and era. It will take you back in the times around 1940s, when the relations, friendships and love in the two nations were tried and tested. ‘Yaara Ve’ is a period drama that is pegged as an experimental story set to change the way films are made in Punjabi cinema.After creating ripples of excitement with its trailer and title track, Yaara Ve team is all set to win hearts with ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’.
‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is a romantic track sung by Happy Raikoti and Mannat Noor. Just like the title track, the lyrics of this song are also penned down by Happy Raikoti and it is composed by Gurmeet Singh.The song has released under the Jas Records label.
This film will star Yuvraj Hans, Gagan Kokri, Monica Gill and Raghvir Boli in lead roles, Apart from the leading names, other stellar star cast includes veteran actors like Yograj Singh, Sardar Sohi, Nirmal Rishi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Malkit Rauni, Seema Kaushal, BN Sharma, Gurpreet Kaur Bhangu and Rana Jung Bahadur. This film is directed by Rakesh Mehta. It is written by Rupinder Inderjit and is being produced by Bally Singh Kakar.
The director of the film, Rakesh Mehta said, “Yaara Ve is one film that will definitely impact
audiences emotionally. As a filmmaker, I try my best to stay authentic to the times and feel of the era where the story is set. As it is a family film based on pre-independent times, the biggest
challenge for us was to make recreate the villages, costumes and colours from those times. We are overwhelmed with the response for trailer as well as the title track. ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is a romantic track and we are sure people will fall in love with the song and its emotions.”
Bally Singh Kakar, the producer of the film said, “I am from London, so knowing the minute details about the culture of Punjab from some other time period was a challenge for me. That’s why, I completely trust Rakesh Mehta and his research on that part. I am personally very excited about the release of the film. But the songs from the film are equally enthralling. The title track was a tribute to friendship and ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is all about love and romance. We really hope this song as well as the film will hit a chord with the audiences.”
Yaara Ve’s romantic track ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ has released on Jas Records’ official YouTube channel today.
Worldwide distribution of the film is done by Munish Sahni’s Omjee Group. ‘Yaara Ve’ will hit the theatres on 5 th April 2019.
