Blenders Pride Punjab International Fashion Week from October 31st to 02 November 2014 at Ludhiana

5th edition of Blenders Pride Punjab International Fashion Week 2014 witnessed 2 Mumbai based designers along with the Kolkata designer duo together setting new trends in Ludhiana today. BPPIFW endeavours to promote, support designers who have shown on Indian runways and made a mark or created a spark in the industry.
This edition includes showings by the host designer, Sonu Gandhi along with five established Indian and one International designer. In addition to this, Ritu Kolentine will showcase a hair & makeup show and the cradle of designers from iNIFD will highlight new ideas in the fashion industry. A BPPIFW gets a grand opening with a mesmerizing collection by designer duo MonaPali. Sanjana Jon a popular name in the International Fashion Industry is today a force to reckon with. Her glamorous designs will feature as the ‘Grand Finale’ for BPPIFW. A first of its kind fashion theatre – Couple Trouble will be seen on the finale day.
Film actress, Simrankaur Mundi and actor Arjan Bajwa have been appointed as the Style Ambassadors for BPPIFW. Industry stalwarts Mr. Lovell Prabhu and Mr. Rahul Dev Shetty will direct and choreograph all the shows.

The grand opening of the fashion week saw designer duo MonaPali, AD Singh and Rocky S showcasing their collections on the ramp, with former Miss. India Tourism Priyanka Shah, Actress Koena Mitra and Super Model Deepti Gujral walking the ramp for these designers respectively.
Ever since their inception over three decades ago, MonaPali have maintained their originality by constant experimentation combining contemporary silhouettes styles and textures with diverse influences based on Indian art and craft traditions. The mood of their collection was ‘uber’ – haute as Indian sensibilities tune into a western mood creating a mélange of fusion wear. Delicate hand embroidery done in thread, jute, zardozi and gota work marry hand paint and discharge print to blend into an easy silhouette in soft sensual fabric that form the backbone of collection. The colour palette is neutral- ivory, grey, brown and black area interwoven with bright colours.
Known for his stylish bridal and evening wear AD Singh is the name for glamour garments and shimmer. His collection teams up with Swarovski crystals and innovative cuts that are extremely feminine and fluid. Bollywood actress Koena Mitra only added the umph factor to the elegance of the outfit.
Celebrity Designer Rocky S. is one of the most popular and influential fashion designers in India. An artisan of embroidery and craft and thanks to his talent for synthesizing the rich embroidery of his native homeland with the elegance of European women, even bigger things are to be expected of the rising couturier star. This season Rocky S presents an extravagant chic collection with Romance combined with sex appeal in harmony with a sparkling touch of glamour giving it a very high fashion look. The colors of mystery, beige, old rose, ivory, pistachio perfectly blended with Rocky’s signature color Black add ultra Zinc to the collection.
Celebrating the spirit of fashion, in the fifth season, BPPIFW has collaborated with presenting sponsor Blenders Pride in association with Geetanjili Lifestyle, and strategic collaborations with Kingfisher Ultra, Pinnacle D Dreams, Da Milano, Morellato Time, Ritu Kolentine, iNIFD, Urban Mélange and 95 BIG FM while the Radisson Blu Hotel, MBD Ludhiana, is the venue and official hospitality partner.
