With the globalization of content, which is a boon to the world, where a plethora of content is present to us at the click of a button, we have forgotten to connect with our mother-tongue content which has somewhere gotten lost. This is where Chaupal comes in, where as an OTT platform it aims to bring the best of the regional movies and web series to help boost Punjabi entertainment content throughout the world.

Chaupal promises to bridge the gap between the public and their maa boli to gauge them in superior quality content in the Punjabi language. Cinema is evolving day by day and moviemakers are also trying to make as many regional films as possible which aim to make people aware of their maa boli.
Just like hit Punjabi music bangers which have the power to connect people who don’t even understand the language, to its beats and are played across the world, even in events like Coachella, Punjabi cinema is also class apart and can be enjoyed by people across all borders and Chaupal is the bridge.
As an act of service to society, our team from Chaupal recently went on the ground to bring the OTT platform closer to you and to bring awareness about it to the people of Punjab. The first leg included the on-ground activation which was done in nine vibrant cities of Punjab from 8th September to 20th September, starting from Tarn Taran and going on to Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Kapurthala, Hoshairpur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and finally ending it in Mohali. The second leg included the Malwa belt with places including – Kurali and kharar, Zirakpur, Mohali, Sirhand, Patiala, Mansa, Talwandi, Bhatinda, Abohar, Fazilka, Faridkot, Ferozpur, Moga and Jagraon from 9th to 26th November.
The Chaupal team targeted each city for one to two days each and did various on-ground activities to spread awareness about the Chaupal App to the common public. ‘Nukkad nataks’ were performed in these areas in colleges and schools and canopies were set up by the promotional teams where people could come and ask any questions related to content and subscriptions.
Not only this, but students were also given Chaupal key rings as freebies and bundles of Chaupal-branded bags were given to many shopkeepers in the vicinity. We even had LED trucks moving around in the city.

Mr Sandeep Bansal, Managing Director, Chaupal, expressed the company’s aspiration to deeply resonate with the people of Punjab. He remarked “The goal is to connect with Punjabis residing not only in India but also in countries like Canada, USA, UK, Australia and many more. We want to reach every Punjabi household and tell them that Punjabi cinema is no less than Bollywood or Hollywood and we bring the best of the content across all genres. Chaupal is an emotional connection that binds the audience to their cultural roots through a curated collection of regional movies and web series tailored for diverse age groups.”
