This coming New Year, in Punjabi Cinema we will not only see different subjects, we will see today’s Punjab also. And announcement of such a film was made here today in Chandigarh Press Club. This film, “Gulam” is based on the journey our youngsters becoming gangsters, showcasing the reasons behind they indulging themselves in this kind of gangster life. Full of action, this film will be Punjabi Cinema’s first thriller film, whose entire technical team has been called from South. Being directed by the famous video director Inder Sohi, the Producers of this film are Manpreet Khangura, Ramesh Thareja, Davinder Gandhi and Prem Singla. Being made under the banner of Zero Line Production, we will some famous artists like Lakhwinder Kandola, Punjabi Singer Harsimarn, Kuljinder Sidhu, Amrinder Billing, Waqar Sheikh, Ravinder Mand and Sardar Sohi in important characters.
On this occasion, Director Inder Sohi, said that this film is going to be his film as a Director and before this he has directed around 1000 music videos. He himself will be the cameraman of this film. Written by Gajjan Sagar, the dialogues of the film has been written by Ravinder Mand. Renowned singer Harsimran is going to be introduced as an actor with this film who further added that the audience will see him in a different character who will give away his life for friendship. He will be seen doing action in the film for which he has prepared himself physically and mentally both. Punjabi Cinema’s famous actor Kuljinder Sidhu will also be seen in a different character of a wealthy man. Lakhwinder Kandola and Waqar Sheikh, who stole lot of publicity from director Jatinder Mauhar’s “Mitti” now will be seen in very strong characters. Amrinder Billing, who has played quite a few big and small roles in Punjabi films, said that this film would prove a turning point for him. He will be seen in quite a different character. The dialogue writer of this film, Ravinder Mand will also be seen playing a different character.
The Producers, Manpreet Khangura, Ramesh Thareja, Davinder Gandhi and Prem Singla, said that the shooting for “Gulam” will be starting from 20th January, 2018 in Chandigarh and some part of the film will be shot in Manali and Rajasthan also.
The Music of the film will also be prepared by the famous music director. The famous lyricist will write the songs and the songs will be sung by renowned voices only.
