From engaging the audience with his brilliant acting to entertaining them with his musical treats, Roshan Prince has always been very active in the Punjabi entertainment industry. Now the handsome man is coming up with another Punjabi film as its lead hero. Titled ‘Munda Faridkotia’, this Mandeep Singh Chahal Directorial, produced by Daljit Singh Thind of Dalmora Films and Monty Sikka, is releasing this Friday – 14th June 2019 worldwide. The film is being released World Wide by PTC Motion Pictures and Globe Moviez.
With the trailer of Munda Faridkotia having received huge praise from not just India but the world-over, the makers of the film are positive about it winning the hearts over. Sharing what the film is all about, Roshan Prince says, “Munda Faridkotia features the story of a gabru from Faridkot, who is full of life. His life changes when mistakenly, he lands across border in Pakistan’s Fairdkot. Fearing that he’s from the other nation, this character pretends to be mute to stay away from difficulties. I had a lot of fun playing this character and I am glad that my entire team helped me immensely in executing this role.”
Film’s leading lady, Sharan Kaur, a popular TV actress who’s making her Punjabi film debut with Munda Faridkotia said that she underwent some transformations to fit into her character named, ‘Mariyam’. “I was required to gain weight and pierce my nose to play the role and I happily obliged since this project is very dear to me. The best part is that I also got to learn speaking Punjabi with “pothwari” accent for which I took training before the beginning of shoot.”
Speaking on the occasion, film’s Director Mandeep Singh Chahal said that he’s extremely happy that he got such a wonderful team to work with. “It’s very rare that you get to work with a team that understands your vision and wants to give in its best with a lot of passion and gusto.”
Daljit Singh Thind, who is the producer of the film and, who has been a silent producer earlier in highly successful Punjabi films like Punjab 1984, Sardaarji series and Channa Mereya, said, “When Mandeep Singh Chahal (the director) narrated the script of ‘Munda Faridkotia’, I found it so fresh and close-to-heart that at once, I decided to get myself involved in each step of its making. Hence I decided to be the producer of the film.”
Besides Roshan Prince and Sharan Kaur, the film also stars Navpreet Banga, Mukul Dev and many other actors like Karamjit Anmol, BN Sharma, Hobby Dhaliwal, Mukul Dev,Rupinder Rupi, Gurmeet Sajjan, Sumit Gulati, Ravinder Mand, Lucky Dhaliwal, Jatinder Kaur, Inder Bajwa, Amritjit Singh Saran, Deep Sehgal, Vandana Chandel, Poonam Sood, Ekta BP Singh and Deepali Monga from our Punjabi cinema in important roles. He further added that the film’s music has been prepared by Jaidev Kumar, Gurmeet Singh and Jaggi Singh. There are six songs in the film for which the lyrics have been penned down by Devender Khannewala, Baba Farid and Kang Sonpal. Roshan Prince, Mannat Noor, Sardar Ali, Ustad Shaukat Ali Matoi, Pammi Bai, Shipra Goyal and Simerjit Kumar have lent their soulful and melodious voices to the songs of the film.
