Actor Mukul Dev, known for his impactful roles in Hindi and Punjabi cinema, passed away on May 23 at the age of 54. He had been unwell for several days and was admitted to the ICU, where he ultimately succumbed to his illness. The actor is survived by his brother, fellow actor Rahul Dev.

Vindu Dara Singh, who shared screen space with Mukul in Son of Sardaar, confirmed the heartbreaking news to India Today. âAfter his parents’ death, Mukul was keeping to himself. He wouldnât even step out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital,â he said. âMy condolences to his brother and everyone who knew and loved him. He was an amazing person, and we will all miss him.â
Apart from his contributions to Bollywood, Mukul was a prominent face in Punjabi cinema. He appeared in several popular Punjabi films such as Baaz, Hero Naam Yaad Rakhi, Shareek, and Munda Faridkotia, showcasing his range and deep connection to regional audiences.
