According to eyewitnesses at the scene, AKA was standing outside the restaurant at around 10 pm when the assailants targeted him. A close friend of the rapper also lost his life in the shooting while his bodyguard sustained injuries.
AKA was gearing up for the release of his new album ‘Mass Country’, which will be released on February 27. Her last social media posts show her promoting the album. The rapper is best known for his single track ‘Victory Lap’. He is survived by his daughter Caro Olwethu Forbes, born in 2015 with his ex DJ Zinhale.
