The trailer of the Kulwinder Billa starrer film ‘Television’ was released today by the Saga Studios. This upcoming movie is set in the 1980s when the televisions first made their appearance in the life of the people. Back then, not every house would have a TV so the villagers gathered at one of the village’s homes to experience the new entertaining technology. The trailer showcases this, taking the audience on a fun and nostalgic ride.
The movie ‘Television’ seems quite promising in terms of having the culturally rich concept comprising the older traditions, and the problems faced by people in that era. The trailer shows how the male lead of the movie; Kulwinder Billa falls in love with the female protagonist played by Mandy Takhar. The movie is based on the problems faced by both of them in their love life. It is also evident that the girl’s father and the boy’s mother have entirely opposite mindsets where the former is strongly against the dowry system and the latter wants her daughter in law to bring a television along with her, after marriage.
The costumes, the locations and the entire setting of this forthcoming movie holds tight to the Punjab’s authenticity of the 80s era. Now, talking about the songs of this movie, they are all packed with incredibly melodious and beautiful music, with romance and love oozing out from all the songs.
