Diljit Dosanjh starrer super hit Punjabi romantic-comedy ‘Sardaarji’ will see its sequel ‘The Return of Sardaarji’ coming out on 24th June 2016. White Hill Production has announced the sequel and the shooting will hit the floor soon. Once again Diljit Dosanjh will be playing the lead role with Sonam Bajwa as his love interest. Released on 24th June 2015, Sardaarji became the highest Punjabi grosser ever. The film got a superb start with more than 1000 shows a day across more than 250 screens pan India and nearly 150 screens oversees. That’s the highest figures for a Punjabi film so far.

Manmord Sidhu told that the script is under the pen and will reach the finalization stage soon. He said, “We touch the human feelings and keep our stories close to reality. Just like Sardaarji, the sequel will be fully entertaining and will become a part of everyone’s life.”
It is worth mentioning that Sardaarji opened with a huge collection of Rs. 2.5 crores in India on the opening day with Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK contributing another Rs. 1.5 crore figure. By the end of first weekend the figure rose to Rs. 14.72 crores which is earth shattering for a Punjabi film.
