After more than a year of legal proceedings, a Delhi court on Tuesday granted singer Honey Singh and his wife Shalini Talwar their divorce. The case was filed by his wife, mentioning a domestic violence case against the singer.
They reached a settlement agreement to end all of their disagreements, and Principal Judge (Family Court) Paramjeet Singh at Saket Court granted them a divorce decree.
Last year, they reached an agreement and agreed to pay ₹1 crore in alimony, and her lawsuit against Honey Singh has been withdrawn. She spent about 13 years married to Honey Singh. The two married in January 2011, and in September 2022, they filed a plea seeking a divorce amicably.
In response to a question posed by the judge during the hearing, Honey Singh stated that he would not be able to live with his wife anymore.
In support of Honey Singh, attorney Ishan Mukherjee stated that the court had approved the divorce decree subsequent to the second progress being granted. He declined to provide more information, claiming that the issue was a private marriage disagreement.
