Singer Neha Kakkar has addressed recent divorce rumours surrounding her marriage to singer Rohanpreet Singh, asking people not to involve her husband or family in speculation about her personal life.

The rumours began after Neha shared a series of Instagram Stories announcing a break from “responsibilities, relationships, and work,” along with a request to paparazzi and fans not to photograph her. Although the posts were deleted within minutes, they quickly sparked online chatter suggesting trouble in her marriage. Neha and Rohanpreet tied the knot in 2020.

Later on Monday, Neha returned to Instagram Stories with a detailed clarification. She stressed that her husband and family had nothing to do with her distress and described them as her biggest support system.

“Guys please don’t drag my innocent husband or my sweetest family into all this,” she wrote. “They are the purest people I know, and whatever I am today is because of their support.”

Neha explained that her frustration was directed at “a few other people and the system,” adding that she regretted being overly emotional on social media. Acknowledging how quickly narratives can be amplified, she wrote that she had learned her lesson about sharing personal feelings online.

She further stated that she would no longer speak publicly about her personal life, ending her note on a lighter tone by assuring fans that she would return soon “with a bang.”

Earlier in the day, Neha had posted, “Time to take a break from responsibilities, relationships, work and everything I can think of right now. Not sure if I’ll be back or not.” In another post, she requested privacy, urging paparazzi not to film her and asking fans to respect her need for peace.

Neha Kakkar is one of Bollywood’s most popular playback singers, known for hit songs such as Aankh Maarey, Dilbar, Hauli Hauli and Morni Banke. She is also a familiar face on television as a judge on several music reality shows.
