“Mundey Kampung Dey”, The first ever Malaysian Punjabi Film, is all set to create the history for the Global Punjabi Cinema. The movie will release on December 15, 2022, in the local cinemas.
“Mundey Kampung Dey” is a comedy with a local touch that revolves around Three childhood friends from a village who decide to step into the big city of Kuala Lumpur to earn a living, but little do they know that the danger awaits them when they lose a valuable parcel belonging to their underworld lady boss.
While the film has a neck to neck competition with James Cameron’s much awaited film “Avatar: The Way Of Water” which releases on the same day, “Mundey Kampung Dey” is a fresh and unique concept. The ardent fans of the Punjabi movies and cultures and the local Punjabi community must definitely look forward to something like this which will pave a new way for the world of Punjabi Cinema in the Global arena.
The Film is helmed by Mansher Singh, who is also playing a pivotal role in the film. “Mundey Kampung Dey” also stars Anwaar Beg Moghal, Nipun C, Hemant Shergill and Sanjna Suri.
