Movie Review :

The story starts in Canada, this sequence is actually shot in India and you will easily notice it. Then it moves to India after it finally goes to South Africa. Interestingly the climax is shot in Mumbai, though it is shown as South Africa only. The director could not choose locations in India which could be convincing enough to look like foreign locations.

When it comes to music, Yo Yo Honey Singh . What disappoints is, Honey Singh who has set benchmarks in Music Industry, has produced some average music for this film. The tracks have not been received that warmly by the audience.

Vinnil Markan makes his debut in Punjabi Film Industry with this film. He has earlier directed Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story which was received poorly. And Zorawar seems to get the same response. He has failed to hide the vulnerabilities of this film and failed as a director.

For Yo Yo Honey Singh, this is his fourth film. He has worked in 2 Punjabi and 1 Hindi Film earlier. His charm hasn’t yet worked for feature films as it does for his music. Here he has portrayed his role of Zorawar averagely. It’s an enigma to watch him in the role of a major in the film. The lead actress Parul Gulati gets a small screen time and has done fine job. Mukul Dev, Pavan Malhotra and Achint Kaur are the veterans in the film and have done their roles satisfactorily.

Coming to the producers, after making comedies, PTC Motion Pictures thought to make a thriller for a change and they end up with drama. PTC has literally tried everything from a good actor to a good director. This time they have invested their money on the star power of Honey Singh.  But like every time they miss out on choosing a good story.

The problem with the film is also its runtime. The film is nearly two and a half hours long and you have to tolerate it for that long unless you choose to walk away in the middle.

All in all Zorawar is a poor attempt by director Vinnil Markan. Only Pavan Malhotra & Parul Gulati Made an impact on Audience.
