What’s Bad: Almost Nothing
Watch or Not? In over more than two hours, the film manages to to patch up its hovels and vindicate the negatives quite effortlessly. Goes without saying that Amberdeep quite succeeds in sending us home with many laughs, heart touching moments and an extensively enjoyable time.
Synopsis : LAHORIYE is the tale of two villages located on the Indo-Pak border. The innocent folks of Punjab suffered immeasurable loss of life and property at the bleeding hour of 1947 Partition. The people were destined to be separated but in spite of the physical borders, a part of them still roams in the streets of their ancestral birthplaces. In the present day, Punjabis’ from respective Punjabs are known by their native names. Love knows no boundaries, so two young hearts further strengthen the bond by falling in love irrespective of the risks involved.

Star Performances : Amrinder Gill! What a fine actor he is. he proves better in his every film. In ‘Lahoriye’ his innocent reactions surely will increase his fan following specially females. His chemistry with ‘sargun’ is treat to watch
Sargun Mehta’s irresistible enigma is what lures me about her. Sargun is mind blowing in this movie. In role of muslim girl you will fall in love with her acting, expressions n her style of dialogue delivery. Undoubtedly ‘sargun’ is now at peak of her career.
Yuvraj Hans in role of muslim village boy is quite impressive. In her debut role ‘Nimrat is impressive. Nirmal Rishi, Gagan Mehra, Sandeep Malhi, Hobby Dhaliwal & Sardar Sohi also contributed well.
Direction, Editing and Screenplay :
The director (Amberdeep Singh) strikes a fine balance between humour and emotion in this slice-of-marriage story. Writer turned director ‘amberdeep’ knows about the pulse of audience in this movie you will see fine presentation of characters, Excellent cinmeatography, Gripping Screenplay & Engaging dialogues. Now punjabi cinema has another dedicated & talented director in name of ‘AMBERDEEP SINGH’
Music : Jatinder Shah has given melodies music in movie as well as background music by him has added advantage to movie.
MY TAKE ” Actually ‘LAHORIYE’ is a film made by heart through the dedication by whole team. It will take tears in your eyes, will make u laugh, make force you to think that love has no religion.People from other side of punjab when will see this movie they will also feel proud about the master piece “LAHORIYE”
The Last Word : I never feel the need to justify my ratings and reviews but this time I feel I owe to this film and my readers. Frankly, I love the the film. It was gripping and taut, though unoriginal, I thought it was magnificently done. The vivid and sparkling chemistry of Amrinder and Sargun manage to hold you through tight and still.Every aspect of movie Direction, Action, Screenplay, Music & Dialogues are treat to watch.Go & enjoy this masterpiece with your family & friends.
