Movie Review :
Star Performances:
Gippy Grewal has time and again proved his expertise in the field of comedy. The actor and his ultimate comic timing has turned out to be a hit amongst the audiences, taking into cue his previous film, Subedar Joginder Singh. The actor tries his hands in comedy again with this one and comes out with flying colours. Sonam Bajwa on the other hand is only there to add that X factor with her good looks in the film. B.N. Sharma and Harby Sangha are decent, whereas Karamjit Anmol in the role of Bhapa offers good support.
It is however, the lovely Binnu Dhillon who completely steals the show with his expressions and comic timing. He along with his co-star Jaswinder Bhalla are a treat to watch out for in the entire flick. Aparticular scene when Harby Sangha (As desi Vaid) comes to Dhillon’s house for his treatment, can easily said to be the best part about the film.
Direction, Editing and Screenplay :
While Carry On Jatta was a huge blockbuster, director Smeep Kang has not disappointed with the sequel as well. He has very well delivered another entertaining offering for the audience. The film falls flat towards the end, but holds up again by the climax. The length could have been short, as the movie tends to become tedious in the middle. Inspite of its flaws, the film delivers some impressive scenes and dialogues. Smeep very wonderfully manages some big stars to come together and offer a lovely visual treat.
Screenplay & Dialogues are at par excellence by Naresh Kathruria.
Music & Background: Even though there are no chartbusters tracks involved, the music goes well in sync with the screenplay and film’s momentum.
Background by Surinder Sodhi could have been better than this.
The Last Word:
On a whole, the film proved to be complete entertainer. From its awing storyline and praiseworthy screenplay, the movie has been supported by some tremendous actors and their impeccable comic timing. Do not forget to watch his wonder-piece by Smeep in the theatres near you. It surely be your best time spent this weekend.
