Synopsis : Bhalwan Singh is a period film that is set in a rural backdrop in pre-independence India. Well-known Punjabi singer/actor Ranjit Bawa plays the lead and is excellently supported by a stellar ensemble.

Movie Review : Bhalwan Singh is a story of Bhana towards ‘bhalwan singh’. This is Ranjit Bawa’s Debut solo domestic release.
Star Performances : Ranjit Bawa has done justice with his role. The transformation of Bhana to bhalwan singh will keep you entertain on screen. He chooses the role in which he can perform up to mark & full marks to him for his acting. Debutante ‘Navpreet Banga’ which is also her debut movie, in her very first film she has done good job. Her action & expressions are looks good on screen.
In character role’s ‘Karamjit Anmol’ & ‘Manav Vij’ steals the show. Karamjit has lifting his acting ability in movie after an other movie. which is good sign for punjabi cinema. Manav Vij O Man! what an fine actor he is, After ‘Burraah!’ & ‘Punjab 1984’ his performance is treat to watch again.
Performance of Mahabir Bhullar is also appreciable.
Direction & Screenplay : Director ‘Param Shiv’ has tried something new in punjabi cinema with ‘bhalwan singh’. His style of story telling is inspired from bollywood, but in this movie has done a decent job. To show an era of 1040’s is a though task specially of budget restriction in regional cinema. Full points to him for this effort.
Screenplay of the movie could be better than this. Film was some technical flaws. But it can be ignored, the spirit & courage which whole team of ‘bhalwan singh’ has lifted is really appreciable to introduce a fresh content on silver screen.
Music & Background :
Music is of the film is ok, but could be better as camparison with other films of production house(Nadar Films, J Studio and Rhythm Boyz Entertainment). But the background of movie has lifted the movie to another level.
Final Words : Bhalwan Singh has an brillaint effort from whole team to introuce fresh & unique content over screen, should be appreciated. Go & enjoy your weekend with ‘Bhalwan Singh’.
