Shubha Saxena, a brilliant actress who has been a part of television industry for more than a decade now and worked with the very outstanding and talented producers is extremely elated with her current role as Anjali Tiwari, mother to the protagonist Suman, Kanika Kapur in Sony TV’s sitcom Ek Duje ke Vaaste. What comes as the icing on the cake is that she gets to shoot for the show in her native land Bhopal which comes in handy with a lot of merits during these challenging times.
“It has been more than a decade working in the television industry and I have had the privilege of working with some of the best shows and noted production houses since 2008. Having been a part of shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Balika Vadhu, Buddha, Khoobsurat, Lapataganj, Jugni Chali Jalandhar and much more has only broadened my horizon and made me a better actor. I have seen myself grow as a performer in these many years and have learnt from my mistakes. With Ek Duje ke Vaaste, I have been few of the lucky cast from the show to shoot in my hometown Bhopal”.
On Asking her how it is to shoot in her hometown Bhopal and what precautionary measures she takes . She says, “I drive down each day on sets, carry my own food and when I am done for the day, I go back home and take a hot shower, steam and have haldi milk. Since we have a mix of all age members in our house, it is very important to make sure that I take all necessary precautions at home. Also since I am the only one who steps out of my house every day, I also buy the vegetables and fruits and house necessities myself so that no one else from the family has to step out. These are the times when we need to take adequate measures for ourselves so that others can sleep peacefully”.
Speaking out about her show, Shubha says, “The team is really nice and supportive. We take all necessary measures before we start shooting each day. Each cast and crew member takes care of their personal belongings. I totally connect with my character Anjali, as she is a perfect mother who lets her child(Suman) be the way she wishes to be. Anjali’s character and nature connects with every Indian mother. I am glad to be a part of Ek Duje ke Vaaste”
