Varun Dhawan‘s next after Dishoom would be Abhishek Varman’s Shiddat.There were also reports that Madhuri Dixit will join the cast and would be playing the role of Alia’s mother in the film. Now, new reports suggest that Tabu and Udta Punjab fame Diljit Dosanjh are set to join the ensemble cast of Shiddat.
There were also reports that this film will be a love triangle between Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor. Commenting on the cast Varun had told Pinkvilla “Actually, that is not the cast of the film. There’s still some time to go. I think Karan Johar should speak of that project rather than me.”
Madhuri knows Varun since he was a child. They met each other after a long time recently on the sets of So You Think You Can Dance where Varun was promoting his upcoming film Dishoom. Talking about Varun, Madhuri had said “Varun was a very naughty child. He and his brother used to come on our sets and would play random music and just start dancing wherever they would get a place. And I remember telling his mother that he will be a hero and now here he is on the stage like a hero.” The two actors share a great rapport it seems.
Alia was last seen in Udta Punjab, the film that also marked the Bollywood debut of Diljit Dosanjh. Tabu was seen in Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Fitoor, and impressed everyone with her acting skills.
