A 25-year-old Sikh woman from Kashmir,Rehmat Kaur Rattan, is all set to make her debut in a Punjabi Film. She has done her Bachelors in dental surgery from Bhojia Dental College and Hospital in Himachal Pradesh and now has left dentistry to pursue her career in acting.
She exclaimed that her parents supported her in opting for this career. She even said that if her parents would have not allowed her to study outside and experience the outside world, this all wouldn’t have been possible.She also requests all the girls to opt the career they love most.
Ms Rehmat, a resident of Mehjoor Nagar area of Srinagar, mentioned that the shooting for the movie will begin in February, 2021. She also told that the movie will be shot in Punjab and Poland.
She has signed this film opposite the actor Yuvraj Hans and the movie is still not titled.
Ms. Rehmat said that she always wanted to be an actor. “I want to completely focus on this career and show my talent to the entire world,” she said.
Rehmat Kaur had won ‘Miss PTC Punjabi 2019’.
After winning this prestigious title,a lot of Punjabi music directors and producers had started approaching her and till now she has done four Punjabi songs. Her fifth song is all set to release this month opposite Ranjit Bawa.
The songs done by her include, ‘Dil Mera’, ‘Pindan De Jaye’ with Sajan Adeeb, ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Top Notch’.
Rehmat has worked for the music brands like T-Series and Sajjan Adeeb Music.
Reportedly, Rehmat Kaur has also signed another Punjabi movie which also includes the famous actors Tabu and Jimmy Shergill in pivotal roles.
This news is not yet confirmed by her but she said,“More projects are in the pipeline.”
Rehmat Kaur also said that everyone in Punjab has given her a colossal love and have recognized her talent.
