The history of Punjabi film industry has witnessed some spectacular and superhit projects which broke several records and are cherished by their audience even today. One of them is “Chann Pardesi” which was released in 1981. The 80’s film was directed by Chitrarth Singh and starred legendary actors Raj Babbar, Rama Vij, Amrish Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Om Puri. The film was Raj Babbar’s debut project after which he gained loads of success. Chann Pardesi won India’s National Film Award in 1980 and went on to become a big commercial success when it eventually found distribution in 1981.
This year Chann Pardesi is turning 40 and Blue Horse Films International have decided to celebrate the occasion in a spectacular way by reliving the moment once again and releasing the film in stunning HD digital content and 5.1 Dolby surround sound. The release date has been finalised to 19th June 2020.
