Hailing from a Jaat family it was difficult for her to make her family understand her love to be a sports woman. Being from an educated family she had to struggle a lot to explain the family about why she wants to be in sports as she herself was so very passionate to play for her state and country.
She has in her kitty, 11 years of sporting career in basketball and netball both, she has represented her school, college, state and country at various levels. She has been the youngest captain of Indian Netball team in Commonwealth Games 2010, won the first International Silver Medal in South Asian Beach Games. Adding to her career, she has been awarded as Sports Women of the Year 2010 by the College and was awarded by AAS NPO for Excellence in the field of Sports. She has been the subject of various articles published by Leading Newspapers, Channels and Magazines like NDTV, India Today, Hindustan Times, Times of India, The Indian Express and Amar Ujala.
Prachi’s hometown is Delhi and so is her schooling from Montfort School and college also from Jesus and Mary College, under Delhi University, adding to her education she has done Post Graduation Diploma in Marketing Management from IMT Ghaziabad and MBA in HR from IP University Delhi.
She carries with her a vast corporate experience of three years having worked with companies like Development Bank of Singapore, Deloitte, Philips, 1800 Sports and Accenture.
The Acting Career happened all of a sudden when she was contacted for a lead role in Star Plus’s highly rated serial Diya Aur Baati Hum from there now landed in the Punjabi Movie Industry. She has bagged the Lead Actress Part as an NRI girl in the in Punjabi Movie “ARJAN “ which has been shot in Malysia nowdays. Prachi is very sweet, humble, down to earth and polite in talking. It was a good and loving experience to meet her and to know so much about her.
