After being part of Hindi films, as well as multiple Telugu and Tamil projects, Taapsee Pannu is now looking to do a Punjabi movie next.
The Delhi-born actor, who’s currently back home to shoot for her next, in which she shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan, is apparently keen on exploring this option.
A source close to the actor reveals, “Taapsee hails from a Punjabi family. Her parents, especially her mother, have always been keen to see her in a Punjabi role. She has received an array of offers from film-makers, and she is considering two scripts.” The actor plans to start working on one of them this year.
Taapsee says, “It’s amazing to see Punjabi films do so well globally. I have already worked in movies in four languages, and doing a Punjabi film has always been at the back of my mind. I have been getting good projects in Punjabi, and I guess I will succumb to my parent’s expectations of doing a Punjabi film soon, provided the director is good, and the story and character suit my sensibilities.”
