Bollywood actor Sunny Singh, known for his performances in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and Adipurush, is all set to step into Punjabi cinema with his debut film Thaapi, where he will star alongside Neeru Bajwa.
Sunny shared the news with fans on Instagram by posting a picture of himself and Neeru seated on a bike, holding the film’s clapboard. Expressing his excitement, he wrote that the project is very close to his heart and that he feels proud to begin his Punjabi film journey with this team. He also extended his best wishes to the entire crew and asked audiences for their love and support.
He further mentioned that beyond acting, he is also associated with the film as a producer, assuring that the team is committed to presenting a meaningful and heartfelt story. The film is being produced by Santosh Thite and written and directed by Jagdeep Singh Warring. Sunny expressed confidence that together they will create an honest and pure film, seeking blessings for the project’s success.
While the makers have kept most details about Thaapi under wraps, the announcement has already generated curiosity among fans.
Sunny was last seen in Single Salma, featuring Huma Qureshi and Shreyas Talpade. The film revolves around a woman from Lucknow who dedicates her life to her family yet continues to be labeled “single” and “unsettled” because she remains unmarried.
