The Diljit Dosanjh concert that crowded BC Place on Saturday night is being referred to by many as the experience of a lifetime. This is particularly the case for a young boy from Surrey who was eventually dragged onto the Punjabi superstar’s stage. Julia Foy narrates his tale. Aanakh Bhullar, six, adores dancing, much like his idol Diljit Dosanjh.
On Saturday night, the Punjabi superstar performed at BC Place, and Aanakh was overjoyed to find that his dad had purchased tickets. Aanakh’s father, Barinder, told Global News, “He’s been counting down the days and he would come home from his Banghara lessons saying, manifesting, visualizing how he’s going to be on stage.”
Aanakh expressed his admiration for both Dosanjh’s beard and his music. And he’s not by himself. As it happens, breaking news from Canada and around the globe is delivered to your email. Dosanjh began his world tour with a concert on Saturday night that drew over 46,000 attendees.
A representative for BC Place, Chris May, stated, “We’ve done a sold-out stadium show for one of the international diaspora communities around Vancouver for the first time.”
Aanakh’s dream of dancing on stage was getting closer when the Bhullar family won floor tickets, but his parents weren’t convinced.
His mother, Seema, stated, “We wanted to prepare him for that not happening.” “I just didn’t want to raise his expectations.”
