Question: How did you feel when you were proposed for acting in this movie and you got to know about the storyline?
Mandy Takhar- I was happy we are touching upon a subject which is very much part of the Punjabi community but not yet brought to light through films.
Question: How would you describe the experience of working with Sidhu Moosewala, how is he as a colleague, or is it any different than his personal life?
Mandy Takhar- He was a little shy to begin with and eventually eased up.. it was a comfortable experience. As a colleague he is cooperative and flexible when doing scenes.
Question: What is the best thing about the role that you have played in this movie and how do you relate yourself to it personally.
Mandy Takhar- My role has a slight shade of being a typical almost teen like girlfriend who at times wouldn’t know the struggles her partner is facing. However eventually becomes supportive in helping her loved one to achieve his dreams. Which I feel is a journey most people in love.
Question: This film shows the struggle of international students living away from their families. Have you experienced any similar situation in your life that you knew, or what message would you give to the people who discriminate between such things?
Mandy Takhar- For me shifting from UK to India has been the struggle. I too live away from my family for work.
The irony of this issue of discrimination is that it happens to most people in one form or the other, For me and most British Indians .. we are too Punjabi for The white Brits of UK, and not desi enough for Punjab.
