While January rarely offers exciting new releases, it does afford us time to look ahead to what we know is coming up and there’s plenty worth looking forward to in 2018. We’ve compiled a list of few films that you should look out for in the coming six months. These are the movies that you should put on your calendar now, as we have a lot to say about these movies.
Laavaan Phere : Roshan Prince – Rubina Bajwa’s going to release rom-com titled “Laavaan Phere”, directed by Smeep Kang is the first major release of 2018. Trailer of the movie is being appreciated by all age groups.With this movie singer/actor ‘Karamjit Anmol’ is going to debut in punjabi cinema as producer. Gurgpreet Gugghi, B.N. sharma, Harby Sangha & Preeto Sawhney are also playing vital roles in movie.
The film is based on World War 1 and will feature Diljit Dosanjh & sunanda Sharma in the lead roles. Diljit is already stealing the hearts from the first poster look of the movie. Directed by Pankaj batra & story by Gurpreet singh palheri , The film is scheduled to be released by March 23. under the banner of color 9 Production. It’s Omjee Group’s worldwide release.
Harjeeta
Ammy virk in the lead role & directed by Vijay Arora, written by Jagdeep Sidhu. female lead Sawan Rupowali. They have completed the shoot recenty.Harjeeta is bio pic of Indian hockey player “Harjeet Singh”
Produced by ‘Munish Sahni’ & ‘Nick Bahl’, Harjeeta is scheduled for 18th may 2018 release.
Carry on Jatta-2
Carry on Jatta 2 is a sequel of the earlier hit of Carry on Jatta, where you had seen Gippy Grewal and Mahie Gill in the lead role, & till date considered as one of the most hilarious Punjabi films of all time. In carry on jatta 2 , Gippy grewal & sonam bajwa are playing the lead roles & binnu dhillon, jaswinder bhalla are also playing the essential roles.Carry on Jatta 2 is still under the pre-production stage and no official details about the film have been made so far.
Tarnvir Jagpal’s next titled “Daana Paani” It’s starring ‘Jimmy Sheirgill’ & simi Chahal in the lead roles where Nirmal rishi is also playing the essential role in the movie. Film is beautifully penned down by Jass Grewal.& produced by Nanokey Studios.
Daana Paani is going to be released by 4th May 2018 under the banner of Omjee Group
Laung Laachi
Neeru Bajwa’s next project is Laung Laachi. Stroy of the movie is penned down by Amberdeep Singh. It would be interesting to see on screen chemistry of Neeru Bajwa & Amberdeep singh. Ammy Virk is also a vital role in this movie, as well as he is debuting as producer with this flick. Movie is scheduled to be released in first quarter of 2018 by Omjee Group.
Rhythm Boyz who is well known for their family entertainer’s like ‘Love Punjab’, ‘Bambukat’ & ‘Vekh Barataan Challiyan’, their next ‘Golak Bugni Bank te Batua’ starring : Amrinder Gill & Harish Verma is scheduled for Mid summer 2018 release. As the title of film seems very unique & interesting, audience is very curious to see this flick on screen.
After the tremendous success of “Rupinder Gandhi & Rupinder Gandhi 2” Dream Reality Film’s “Dakkuan Da Munda”, a bio-pic on Mintu Gurusaria. Starring Dev Kharoud, Janjeet Sandhu & Sukhdeep Sukh. This flick is being directed by Mandip Benipal, Audience will see different type of cinema with this biopic which is scheduled for 07 September 2018.
One remarkable thing in above films is that except ” COJ 2″ all other films being released by Omjee Group.
